Our Story

From Vision to Impact

Kindness for Creatures was founded in 2024 by a group of high school students who combined their passion for animals with a love for sports. What began as a simple idea to host a basketball tournament to raise funds for local animal shelters has grown into a student-led nonprofit organizing competitive sporting events across the community.

Driven by compassion and the belief that every animal deserves care, kindness, and a safe home, we’ve raised thousands of dollars for local shelters and rescues. Our mission is to support animal welfare while empowering youth to take action—and have fun doing it. Through teamwork, service, and advocacy, we're building a movement that helps animals and unites our community.

Educate 500 students annually about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.

Beach Volleyball Tournament

Join us for an exciting beach volleyball tournament at North Cary Park! Perfect for high school students to compete, have fun, and support animal welfare. Teams will battle it out on the sand while raising money for local animal shelters and rescue organizations.

Event Details:

North Cary Park
4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Teams of 4 players (co-ed encouraged!)
Prizes for tournament winners
All proceeds benefit local animal welfare

Important: All participants must complete both registration and waiver forms before the event.
